Cablevision Newsmakers 1/28/05 NYS Senate Race Andrea Stewart-Cousins challenged nine term incumbent Republican Nick Spano in District 35, which is in the Yonkers/Westchester area. With one of the longest races in NY history coming to an end, Andrea came within 18 votes of defeating Nick Spano. This was one of the closest races in New State Senate history
